“I Feel Only You” by Cadence Donovan tells the fictional story of a couple in their quest to make their relationship work despite life’s challenges along the way
AUSTIN, Texas – Many of Cadence Donovan’s works seek to inspire individuals to step out of their comfort zone and think further about their lives and purpose for being. Her first published work, “I Feel Only You” (ISBN 1463571585), uses the fictional story of a married couple facing some of life’s hardest obstacles to speak to audiences.
Donovan takes readers back more than a decade to October 1997 as they meet 38-year-old Chalice Johnson Crawford and her husband, 28-year-old Jackson Crawford. Despite their differences in ethnicity, age, upbringing and lifestyle choices, the couple finds a way to make their marriage and lives work together.
Jackson grew up privileged, feeling alone, without trust, and with little faith in God. With her beliefs deeply rooted in the Christian faith, Chalice introduces her husband to a more spiritual and fulfilling lifestyle while working to gain his trust. They figure out how to rise above self-esteem issues, problems with one another’s grown children and other numerous challenges in order to become an example for others and a testament to the power and love of God.
“As Jackson and Chalice meet these challenges head-on, they strengthen their bond and close any existing gaps in their relationship,” Donovan said. “I think many readers, especially middle-aged women, can relate to some of the issues the couple overcomes in this novel.”
Donovan believes that by using relatable issues and characters, readers will be inspired to think out of the box when it comes to facing the challenges in their own lives. The author hopes to encourage women to look beyond what they believe in and to hope for something bigger and better, whether it be on a professional level with their careers or personally in relationships with family, friends, significant others or God.
“I Feel Only You” is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
